Mike Church, a lifelong member of the Burlington Area School District community, brings a
deep-rooted passion for baseball and community service to his role. Growing up in Burlington,
Mike’s love for the game started early as he played baseball from Little League where he was on
the Reineman Raiders through his junior year of high school. He spent countless hours in the
backyard playing catch with his dad or anyone willing to join him. His favorite positions were in
the outfield, primarily left and center field. Baseball was his favorite sport during his school
years, a passion that still fuels his commitment to the game today.
After graduating high school, Mike continued his academic journey at the University of
Wisconsin-Whitewater. His career began with a teaching position at Wilmot Grade School, but
alongside his education, he worked with The Reesman Company from his senior year through
college. This summer role grew into a career path when he accepted an opportunity to join The
Reesman Company full-time, initially as a GPS specialist. Over time, he moved through several
key roles, including project manager, estimator, client contact, and eventually, Vice President,
honing a wide range of skills in management and operations.
Mike is married to Abbie, and together they have four children: Grant, Emma, Bryce, and Owen.
Sports are a family tradition, with all three of their sons playing baseball through Little League,
and their daughter Emma participating in softball. Each of their children plays various other
sports as well, contributing to their family’s active lifestyle. The family’s commitment to
baseball and community shines through in their shared dedication to maintaining local fields;
every member has helped Mike with field maintenance during his time as the Buildings and
Grounds Director for Little League.
With a lifelong dedication to baseball, family, and community service, Mike Church exemplifies
a commitment to his hometown, helping create spaces where future generations can develop a
love for the game he holds dear.
